The connection
Overseer never waits for an incoming connection. It establishes an outbound WireGuard tunnel — the same audited, modern VPN protocol used to secure production infrastructure. Because the tunnel is outbound-only, it traverses NAT and strict corporate firewalls without any port forwarding, static IP, or changes to the customer's network.
The security model
The customer stays in control. Access is granted on their terms, technicians authenticate before connecting, and the device only exposes what's needed for maintenance — not the rest of the customer's network. There is no standing, unauthorised path into their environment.
What gets recorded
Every session is captured end to end: full-screen video plus the keystrokes and commands issued, each tied to the authenticated user who connected. The result is a complete, tamper-evident audit trail the customer can review at any time.
